Our crew of 40 paramedics responds to emergency calls across North Jefferson County, and team members are critical resources for the community. We protect and save lives, ensuring everyone is treated with dignity and respect and provided with the best emergency care possible.

Serving the community is a calling, and our jobs extend beyond emergency response. The District supports local events and offers community classes and services related to car seat installation, CPR instruction, and proper sharps disposal.

All individuals seeking employment as a paramedic with the District must be licensed by The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Applicants must submit to and pass a drug test and a background check. An Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card also is required.
